Common Mistakes & How to Avoid Them
While Vixor automates many aspects of market-making, incorrect configurations or overlooked details can still cause disruptions. Below are some of the most frequent mistakes users make—and how to avoid them.
⚠️ Frequent Mistakes
Mistake | Why It Happens | How to Avoid It |
---|---|---|
No Orders Being Placed | Risk limits are too low or balances are insufficient | Set appropriate base/quote limits and ensure wallet is funded |
Very High Spread | Spread config too wide | Adjust min/max spread in Pair Configuration |
Boost Consumes Too Much Balance | Boost settings are too aggressive | Set tighter boost size and longer intervals |
No Trades Happening | Orders not competitive or placed far from market | Use smaller spread and adjust strategy type (e.g. Neutral) |
Warnings Ignored | User overlooks spread, balance, or trade alerts | Check the Warnings section regularly and take action |
Sandbox Left On Accidentally | User forgets to switch from test mode to live | Always review Sandbox toggle in Pair Settings |
API Not Connected | Exchange API credentials not added or expired | Verify API integration and re-authenticate if needed |
✅ Tips to Stay Safe
- Double-check all Pair Configuration parameters before going live.
- Review the Warnings tab after every configuration update.
- Use the History tabs to validate trade and volume behavior.
- Keep a checklist: Wallet connected, API enabled, strategy selected, sandbox off.
